2007 AFC South NFL Picks & Predictions

2007 AFC SOUTH PICKS - 2007 NFL PREDICTIONSIndianapolis Colts – AFC South NFL Predictions
News Flash! The Indianapolis Colts biggest offseason free agent acquisition has been that of mediocre wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe. While the addition of rookie wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez should help, the Colts haven’t helped themselves much through either the draft or free agency – at least not for the immediate future. However, the Colts do have Tony Dungy, Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, not to mention second-year running back Joseph Addai and wideout Reggie Wayne.

Tennessee Titans – AFC South NFL Predictions
The Titans will have an improved Vince Young this season and what could turn out to be a better-than-expected defense – even with the loss of Adam “Pacman” Jones. Tennessee is definitely a team on the rise and has one of the best head coaches in the game in Jeff Fisher. If the Titans get off to a better start than they did last season, they could surprise.

Jacksonville Jaguars – AFC South NFL Predictions
The Jaguars’ act is starting to wear thin. Head coach Jack Del Rio has built this team into one of the finest defensive units in the league over the past several seasons. However, the Jaguars problem is the same as it was three years ago – no offense. So what did the Jags’ brain trust do about it this offseason? Get more talented defensive players – that’s what. This could be Del Rio’s swan song in Jacksonville.

Houston Texans – AFC South NFL Predictions
I have absolutely nothing against the Houston Texans and I was actually hoping Gary Kubiak would do better in his first season with the Texans last year. The Texans, however, are so far behind the other teams in this division, it’s going to take at least two or three years minimum for them to be able to really compete with their division rivals. They are headed in the right direction and the additions of quarterback Matt Schaub should and rookie defensive lineman Amobi Okoye should help. Keep your money in your pockets here, bettors. No way do the Texans come close to winning this division.
