2007 LSU Tigers Picks & Predictions
LSU fell out of the national championship chase last season after losing at Auburn and at Florida by Week 6. But the Tigers proceeded to win their last seven games straight, and kicked Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. The Tigers ranked 11th in total offense, third in total defense, and out TD’d their opponents 55-16. Clearly, LSU had a claim as the best team not playing in the national title game. This LSU returns 14 starters, including eight on a defense that should be a monster. They lost QB JaMarcus Russell, a couple of very good receivers and left side of the offensive line. Matt Flynn, fifth year senior who had a pretty good Peach Bowl a couple of years ago, looks like the favorite at QB. And that defense has a great front seven. The 2007 schedule includes a road slate LSU should sweep. and all the tough ones are at Death Valley. This is a dangerous team.
