2007 UCLA Bruins: Picks, Predictions & Odds
2007 UCLA Bruins Picks & Predictions
UCLA started 4-1 last year, then lost four games in a row. But the Bruins rebounded to win their next three, including that great spoiler victory over USC, before falling to Florida State in the Emerald Bowl. Along the way there was a victory over Oregon State and a near win at Notre Dame, but the team showed its inconsistency with losses to Washington and Washington State. The offense struggled, ranking 71st overall, but the defense shined, ranking 35th overall and holding foes to less than 90 rushing yeards per game. This year UCLA returns a whopping twenty starters, 10 on each side of the ball, including a pair of QBs with some experience, a good stable of RBs and four offensive linemen. The biggest loss might be kicker Justin Medlock. The schedule is interesting, with visits to Utah, Oregon State, and USC, while BYU, Notre Dame, Cal and Oregon visit the Rose Bowl. If things fall right, this team, with this defense, could explode this season.
