Overview: Jeff Lebo loses three starters from a 24-win team with the biggest loss being forward Korvotney Barber (12.8ppg, 9.6rpg). The Tigers do return senior guard DeWayne Reed (6-1, 175), a scoring point guard, who averaged 13.2ppg and 3.7apg last season. He’ll be joined by another senior in Tay Waller (6-2, 180), who averaged 12.1ppg last season and is an outstanding three-point shooter. However, he’s been bothered by a quad injury early on this season. Sophomore guard Frankie Sullivan (6-1, 185) helped fill the void last season 7.6ppg) as a freshman and has stepped up early in the season. Freshman wing Earnest Ross (6-5, 215) is another potential big-time scorer in the backcourt. Up front, Lucas Hargrove (6-6, 205) is a gritty senior, who averaged 89.1ppg and 5.3rpg last season, but he’s not Barber. Brendon Knox (6-10, 220) is a big senior, who finally gets increased minutes and needs to produce. Sophomore Kenny Gabriel (6-8, 200), a JC transfer who enrolled in May, adds depth to the frontcourt.

Outlook: This looks like a decent, but not great team on paper that Lebo will need to be coached up. The biggest concern is up front where they will need to replace Barber’s ability to rebound.
