Overview: It’s rebuilding time againt at Georgia. Former Nevada coach Mark Fox takes over, but he has a lot of work to help get this program back to near the top of the SEC. Fox needs some offense, as the Bulldogs ranked last in the league averaging 64.9ppg. They also lost swingman Terrence Woodbury (14ppg), while guards Zach Swansey (4.3ppg) and Corey Butler (6.7ppg, 4rpg) transferred. They bring back guard Travis Leslie (6-4, 202), a great leaper, who averaged 6.3ppg and 3.9rpg. He has tremendous potential to be a big-time scorer. Joining him is senior guard Ricky McPhee(6-1, 184), an excellent long-range shooter and walk-on, who averaged 3.6ppg last year and shot 36% from beyond the arc. Sophomore Dustin Ware (5-11, 182) is another young player coming off a solid freshman campaign, who averaged 7.2ppg and 3.4apg. Up front, the Bulldogs have one advantage and that’s with sophomore Trey Thompkins (6-9, 247), who was named to the All-SEC Freshman squad. He averaged 12.6ppg and 7.4rpg last year. Junior Jeremy Price (6-8 264) is a wide body, who averaged 5.1ppg and 2.9rpg last season, though it was a disappointing year considering he made the All-SEC Freshman team the year before. Forward Chris Barnes (6-9, 240) is an athletic banger, who averaged 4.4ppg and 3.9rpg, but needs to improve his free throw shooting.
