Overview: Ben Howland’s team loses Darren Collison (14.4ppg, 4.7apg), Josh Shipp (14.5ppg), Jrue Holiday (8.5ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.8apg) and center Alfred Aboya (9.9ppg, 6.3rpg). Holiday is the biggest loss because he never developed his game and was selected by Philadelphia in the first round. Sophomore Jerime Anderson (6-1, 165) takes over for Collison, who played just nine minutes per game last year. Sophomore Malcolm Lee (6-5, 180), who averaged 3.2ppg off the bench, made some major strides in the offseason and should be on of the team’s top scorers this season. Another key returner is guard senior Michael Roll (6-5, 200), who averaged 6.7ppg last season, but with more minutes, will give the team a strong perimeter threat. Up front, the Bruins senior Nikola Dragovic (6-9, 216) is a major key to this team. He averaged 9.4ppg and 4.3rpg and started the last part of the season. He’s an outstanding shooter and rebounder. Senior James Keefe (6-8, 230) can start or come of the bench. He’s an excelent roll player. Sophomore Drew Gordon (6-8, 235) is the team’s best athlete up front, averaging 3.5ppg and 3.4rpg last season. He has that back-to-the-basket presence the team misses with Aboya gone.

Outlook: Howland is one of the best coaches in the country and his coaching will really best tested this season. The Bruins still have talent, but lack the experience and leadership in the backcourt to get back to the Final Four.
