The Jaguars did improve last year but they still have a ways to go to be a legitimate threat in this league. They finished last in their division the past two years. Coach Del Rio is on the hot seat this year and this will likely be his last unless he can lead this team into the playoffs. A Wild Card spot is definitely not an unattainable goal for this team, provided they show a little improvement from last season on both sides of the ball. QB Gerrard needs to start playing like he did in the ’07 season and his offensive line needs to learn how to protect him. And the offseason moves this team made on defense needs to result in increased pressure on opposing QBs. If all this can happen, the Jags might be able to squeeze into the postseason if they are lucky.
