Could this be the year the Ol’ Ball Coach finally gets the job done and brings the Gamecocks into prominence? Probably not. Still, South Carolina is going to be a much improved team thanks to a ton of returning starters. QB Stephen Garcia should be ready to shine as a senior. A home win against either Alabama, Tennessee, or Arkansas would be nice unless there’s going to be an upset at Auburn or Florida in the cards. Still, going 5-3 in conference and finishing in second in the East would be a huge accomplishment.
