Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints - The opening game of the 2010 NFL betting campaign pits the two combatants from the NFC Championship Game against each other. The Vikes will look to avenge LY’s OT defeat, but there is still a question whether #4 will be back in purple to take snaps.
Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants - New Meadowlands Stadium opens up with the Giants hosting the Panthers. New York is comfortable with QB Eli Manning and a similar cast of characters returning on offense, but the Panthers are still clueless who will be starting now that they have cut ties with QB Jake Delhomme.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills - The potential spoilers in the AFC East will meet at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Week 1. Miami is still bitter about losing three games to end the season to keep it out of the playoffs last year. Buffalo will just be happy to win three games in this one.
Atlanta Falcons @ Pittsburgh Steelers - It isn’t often that you see the Steelers as underdogs on the NFL odds. It also isn’t often that QB Ben Roethlisberger finds himself suspended for violating the personal conduct policy.
Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears - QB Matt Stafford starts his second season with the Lions in the Windy City. The Bears have high expectations yet again after acquiring DE Julius Peppers in the offseason, but if QB Jay Cutler plans on throwing near 30 INTs again this year, they’ll be in for another long season.
Cincinnati Bengals @ New England Patriots - The first two teams knocked out of the playoffs in the AFC meet each other at Gillette Stadium on 9/12. Watching WR Chad Ochocinco and WR Randy Moss should be worth the price of admission even if both are at the tail ends of their careers.
Cleveland Browns @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Browns are on the longest winning streak in the NFL at four games, but if you believe this game is going to be worth watching, we have a bridge to sell you in California.
Denver Broncos @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Jags fans will probably be decked out in blue and orange #15 jerseys for this clash, as the Tim Tebow era begins for the Broncos. Essentially getting a ninth road game won’t make HC Jack Del Rio happy, but no one in Jacksonville is rooting against Tebow in his NFL debut.
Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans - The Texans are going to try to make a name for themselves early in the season by knocking off the defending AFC champs. These passing games ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the NFL last year, so expect both teams to be flying up and down the field.
Oakland Raiders @ Tennessee Titans - Now that QB JaMarcus Russell is finally out of Oakland, the Raiders may have a chance to win some games. It’s not likely that the first will come against QB Vince Young and the Titans, though.
Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles - QB Aaron Rodgers is considered one of the best young quarterbacks in the game already. QB Kevin Kolb is trying to prove the same thing in the City of Brotherly Love. Points should be aplenty in this clash.
San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks - Just the first in a mess load of miserable NFC West games this season… HC Pete Carroll makes his debut with the Seaturkies.
Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams - Seeing QB Matt Leinart and QB Sam Bradford duel with each other sounds like an ideal college football battle. We aren’t so sure how it will pan out in the NFL for either one.
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins - You think QB Donovan McNabb is tired of seeing the Cowboys? This is going to be the third straight game dating back to last season that he has to take on the Dallas ‘D’. Still, it should be an explosive debut for #5 in DC.
Baltimore Ravens @ New York Jets - HC Rex Ryan takes on the team that he helped build when the Ravens come to New Meadowlands Stadium. Offense may be optional in this one, as both defenses are going to blitz like crazy and won’t easily be scored upon.
San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs - The Bolts start off their AFC West chase with their annual duel at Arrowhead Stadium. Too bad the Chiefs haven’t beaten San Diego since ‘07; look for that to hold true tonight as well.
