NBA Playoffs: Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz Betting Line & Prediction: April 30th 2010

Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz 10:05 ET ESPN2 – April 30th 2010
Click here for the winning prediction from Touthouse.com

The Denver Nuggets successfully fended off elimination once already in their best of seven series with the Utah Jazz, but tonight will be their greatest challenge. The Jazz went a stellar 34-9 SU at Energy Solutions Arena this season, which is going to make life incredibly difficult for a Denver team that only went 19-24 SU on the road. The Nuggs at least looked like they got their identity back in Game 5 in at Pepsi Arena, as they were flying up and down the court at a quick pace. Both F Carmelo Anthony and G Chauncey Billups reached the 20+ point barrier. Utah is still playing without F Andrei Kirilenko and C Mehmet Okur, as neither will play in this series even if it goes to a seventh game on Sunday.

Utah is a six point favorite to close out the Nuggets tonight. The ‘total’ is locked in at 215.

NBA Playoffs: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Line & Prediction: April 30th 2010

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 9:30 ET ESPN – April 30th 2010
Click here for the winning prediction from Touthouse.com

The Oklahoma City Thunder may finally be running out of gas. After exhausting a ton of effort to even up their Western Conference quarterfinal series with the Los Angeles Lakers at two games apiece at the Ford Center, they were absolutely trampled back at Staples Center in a game that they never led and trailed by as many as 32 points. G Russell Westbrook turned the ball over eight times in Game 5, and he appears to just be finished taking the Lakers’ abuse in the paint, where they are absolutely dominating this series. F Pau Gasol has had four double-doubles in five games, while his counterpart C Andrew Bynum is coming off of a great performance in which he scored 21 points and picked up 11 boards in just 28 minutes on the court.

The Lakers are still underdogs in this game though, as they have had no success at the Ford Center of late (1-3 SU, 0-4 ATS in L/4). Oklahoma City is favored by a single point, while the ‘total’ comes in at 194.5.

NBA Playoffs: Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks Betting Line & Prediction: April 30th 2010

Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks 7:00 ET ESPN – April 30th 2010
Click here for the winning prediction from Touthouse.com

After winning Games 1 and 2 of their NBA playoff betting series with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks had to feel like they were just coasting towards the second round of the postseason. Maybe the celebration was a tad bit premature. Since that point, the Bucks have stormed back and won three straight games. The most recent of those games came back at Phillips Arena, as Milwaukee went on a huge run to end the game to shock the host Hawks, who are now on the brink of elimination. Milwaukee went a solid 30-13 at the Bradley Center this year, and they are a rock solid 26-16-1 ATS there including the playoffs.

The Bucks are short underdogs tonight though, as Atlanta is favored by two points. The ‘total’ chimes in at 189.

Iowa Barnstormers vs. Orlando Predators (Week 5 Preview from Mike Rose)
Bet: Click here to bet on this game | Odds: Click here for current odds

Fresh off of their first arena football betting victory of the season, the Iowa Barnstormers (1-2, 1-2 ATS) will look to improve to .500 on the year at the expense of the winless Orlando Predators (0-2, 0-2 ATS), who will be playing their first home game of the season. Both teams are in dire need of a victory this week, as each could fall three games behind the first place team in their respective conferences with a defeat. This will be the first matchup between the Predators and Barnstormers since the 1999 playoffs, when Orlando ended Iowa’s season with a 48-41 victory at “The Barn” in Des Moines. The Barnstormers haven’t visited “The Jungle” since 1998, and is 1-1 all-time in visits there.

QB Ryan Vena hasn’t exactly had a warm return to the AFL after playing in the af2 for a couple seasons. He has completed just 55.1 percent of his passes and has thrown 14 TDs against five picks. Yes, adding six rushing touchdowns helps matters, but the bottom line is that five INTs in three games is unacceptable at this level, which is why the Barnstormers are in the position that they’re in. Both WR Jesse Schmidt and WR Todd Blythe have six touchdowns apiece to lead the team in scoring. The Barnstormers have conceded at least 60 points in all three of their games.

The Predators may find a way to test the futility of those defensive numbers on Friday night. QB Nick Hill, playing in his first year at the AFL level, hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire in his two outings. Sure, he’s completing a ton of passes at a high percentage (61/82 in two games), but the mass majority of his throws are made just a few yards in front of him. His 584 yards and seven touchdown passes against two picks isn’t cutting it at this level. WR TT Toliver is one of the most explosive all-purpose players in this league, as he has already accounted for 384 yards and three scores in two games. Orlando’s bigger problem might be a defense which has only gotten four stops in two weeks, only two of which were forced turnovers. The defensive line also hasn’t come up with a single sack on the year. The Predators lost last weekend on the road by 26 points in a game that was never really that close. The last time the team was beaten down that badly on the road was back in the 2004 playoffs when they suffered a 58-15 loss to the Chicago Rush.

The Predators currently sit as six-point favorites at the time of this publication.

Free MLB Picks & Baseball Betting Predictions for April 30th 2010

Below are free MLB Picks and baseball betting predictions for April 30th 2010 from Touthouse.com handicappers. If you are looking for free MLB baseball picks on a daily basis or premium picks from our MLB baseball betting experts visit Touthouse.com each day.

Free MLB Pick: Texas Rangers +138 (Jim Feist)
You always have to be careful about pitchers coming off the DL or making their first start in some time. That’s the case here with Seattle lefty Cliff Lee. It’s his first start this season, but also his first start for his new team having been traded in the offseason. He faces a very good Texas lineup. The Rangers have a surprise starter in Colby Lewis, who is 3-0 with a 3.80 ERA fanning 28 in 23 innings. Seattle is laying a big price as chalk, yet this offense is 11th in the AL in runs scored. Play the Texas Rangers!

Free MLB Pick: San Diego Padres -124 (Tom Freese)
San Diego starter Clayton Richard has allowed just 10 runs total in his four starts this year. The Padres are 7-0 their last 7 home games and they are 11-2 their last 13 games overall. San Diego is 20-8 their last 28 games as home favorites and they are 7-1 their last 8 home starts made by Richard. Milwaukee starter David Bush lost 12-2 to Chicago in his last outing. The Brewers are 1-6 their last 7 games overall and they are 2-5 vs. lefty starters. Milwaukee is 8-25 in the last 33 starts made by Bush as road underdogs. PLAY SAN DIEGO (Richard vs. Bush)

Free MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -140 (Jeff Alexander)
Zito is finally starting to earn that huge contract he signed a few years back. He’s off to a 3-0 start with an ERA of just 1.32 and a WHIP of only 0.842. Zito has been extraordinary against the Rockies throughout his career. In fact, he is 4-2 (8-3 on the money line) lifetime with an ERA of 1.98 and a WHIP of 1.060. Aaron Cook is really struggling this season, especially on the road where he is 0-2 with an ERA of 9.72 and a WHIP of 2.281. He is just 7-9 (7-13 against the money line) with an ERA of 5.09 and a WHIP of 1.621 in his career when starting the Giants. He figures to have his work cut out for himself tonight against a Giants club that is hitting the ball pretty well. The Rockies are only 1-9 against the money line vs. an NL team with a team batting average of .275 or better over the last 2 seasons, losing to these teams by an average score of 4.5 to 7.9. Take the Giants.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks

On Friday the Free NBA Totals play is on the Over in the Atlanta at Milwaukee game. Rotation numbers 553/554 at 8:05 eastern. The Hawks have gone over 13 of 15 times as a road favorite of 3 or less. The Bucks have gone over the total 15 of 17 times as a home dog of 3 or less. In the series here in Milwaukee 7 of the last 8 have gone over the total, including both games here in this playoff series. With the Hawks having flown over the total in 10 of 14 tries on the road when the posted total is 190 to 195 we will back the over here tonight. On Friday I have a 6* MLB Diamond cutter system that has cashed 14 of 15 times long term. These teams win by nearly 4 runs per game. Those with me on Thursday cashed big in bases with Toronto. This ones even easier. I also have an 80% MLB Road Warrior system where they play on teams score over 7 runs per game and an NBA Dominator system with 3 big power angles for our team. We are 10 games over -.500 in the NBA of late. Don’t Miss this Huge Friday night card. Start the weekend right with a trio of winners. For the free play go over in the Hawks at Bucks game. RV

Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Indians Betting Line & Pick: April 30th 2010

Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Indians
Free MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins +111 betting line
Visit Touthouse.com for more MLB baseball picks from Matt Fargo

This is a solid price for the better team and the better pitcher in the underdog role. The Twins have gotten off to a great start this season with a 14-8 record including 8-5 on the road despite the recent series loss in Detroit. The Indians are home once again following a nine-game roadtrip where they went just 3-6. They are riding a four-game winning streak at home but any momentum from that has been lost with the long roadtrip following that. Minnesota has taken two of three from Cleveland already this season and dating back to last year it is 5-1 the last six meetings. The Twins send Kevin Slowey to the hill and the season has gotten off to an uneven start for him. He has a 3.42 ERA on the season which is solid but his 1.44 WHIP in surprising as control is Slowey’s specialty yet he has walked nine hitters so far this year. His best start this season was against the Indians where he allowed just one run on five hits in eight innings and most importantly, no walks. Slowey is 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in his last three starts against the Indians. The Indians counter with Fausto Carmona who is one of the early season surprises. He is 3-0 with a 2.96 ERA through his first four starts, all of which have been quality performances. I don’t know how long this can last and this is the best time to start going against. He is 3-6 with a 5.11 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 10 career starts against Minnesota including going 0-4 with a 10.80 ERA and 2.26 WHIP in his last five. 3* Minnesota Twins
