New York Rangers vs. Boston Bruins
NHL Pick: Boston Bruins -145 odds – March 26th 2011
Visit Touthouse.com for more expert NHL picks from Ben Burns
The Rangers had their 5-game winning streak snapped last time out, falling 2-1 (via the shootout) to Ottawa. They’d previously won seven of eight. While they’ve mostly taken care of business against bad teams, note that the Rangers are only 18-23 (-4.4) against teams with a winning record. With so many recent victories, even after one loss, they shouldn’t be that “desperate,” particularly as they still got a point in that game. While the Rangers are off a potentially deflating loss, he Bruins are heating up. After a sub-par stretch, they’ve won their last two games by a combined score of 11-1, most recently hammering Montreal by a score of 7-0. Boston goalie Tim Thomas noted: “That’s the way we wish we could play every night. It should be a big confidence booster for us going forward. It’s the blueprint of the type of game we want to play.” With the Bruins at 8-1 the last nine times that they were off a shutout victory, consider backing suddenly “surging” Boston.

Prediction: New York Knicks -6
On Friday the Free NBA System Play is on the New York Knicks. Game 856 at 7:35 eastern. The Bucks fit the negative system below that plays against rested road dogs that scored 90 or more as a home favorite of -5 or more and shot 45% or higher, vs an opponent that scored 90 or more as a home dog and shot 45% or less. If the posted total is 190 or higher these road dogs are 0-12 straight up and 1-11 ats. This game is a a rematch from as the Knicks will look to avenge their 5 point loss in Milwaukee. The Knicks will do so knowing they are 5-0 straight up and ats as a home favorite from -3.5 to -6. This game would have qualified as a late phone play at -4 or less. However at -6 the Knicks are still worthy of free Play status. On Friday I have the Highest rated NCAAB Total and a 5* Perfect system side + NBA Blowout system and Power dog Play. The NBA Stayed hot cashing with the big total on Thursday. For the free Play take the Knicks. -Rob Vinciletti
Prediction: Orlando Magic -12.5
The Orlando Magic should run away with this game against New Jersey Friday for a number of reasons. The Nets are without Deron Williams, and they are also without Sundiata Gaines and Damion James who have each been playing quite a bit recently. Being short-handed is not going to help a New Jersey team that is simply exhausted right now. This will be the Nets 6th game in 9 days which is a very tough spot for any NBA team to handle, especially a short-handed one. Orlando has won six straight meetings with New Jersey, with five of those wins coming by double-digits including a 104-88 road victory the last time these teams got together. The Nets are just 5-29 on the road this season and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games. Orlando is 14-3 ATS when playing against a bad team (Win Pct. 25% to 40%) – 2nd half of the season over the last 2 seasons. The Nets are 17-37 ATS in their last 54 vs. Eastern Conference foes. Bet the Magic Friday. -Jack Jones
San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trailblazers
NBA Pick: Portland Trailblazers
Visit Touthouse.com for more expert NBA picks from Big Al McMordie
At 10 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Portland Trail Blazers minus the points over San Antone. The Spurs are in real jeopardy of losing their top spot in the Playoffs, as they are now just six games ahead of the surging Lakers with 11 to play. And without their floor leader — Tim Duncan — that six game lead could evaporate rather quickly over the next 8 days, as the Spurs must play Portland (twice), Memphis, Boston and Houston. Tonight’s game seems to be the toughest of the bunch, as Portland has covered the spread in 7 straight at the Rose Garden vs. San Antonio, and has won six of those seven games straight-up. Here, of course, Portland will be favored (and rightfully so), and I look for LaMarcus Aldridge to have a field day vs. the Spurs’ depleted frontcourt. When these two teams met in early February, Aldridge had a great night, and poured in 40 points (then, a career high) against a Spurs team which had Duncan manning the middle. Against rookie Tiago Splitter and veteran Antonio McDyess, Aldridge should dominate. The Blazers also now have Brandon Roy back from injury, and have Gerald Wallace (acquired in a trade deadline deal) in the fold, as well. Take Portland minus the points. Good luck, as always….Al McMordie.

Pick: Utah Jazz +5
As poor as the Utah Jazz have played of late, there’s no way they should be catching points at home tonight against the New Orleans Hornets. Utah is fighting for their playoff lives and will show up Thursday to try and gain ground on Memphis for the 8th and final spot in the Western Conference. The Hornets are 25-40 ATS (-19.0 Units) as a favorite over the last 2 seasons. Utah is 23-12 ATS (+9.8 Units) after a loss by 10 points or more over the last 2 seasons. The Hornets are 6-16 ATS in their last 22 games as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5. The Jazz are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points. Utah is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings with New Orleans, including 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 home meetings. Take the Jazz and the points. -Black Widow
Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +15.5
On Thursday the free NBA System selection is on the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game 801 at 8:30 eastern and their getting upwards of 15.5 points here from Dallas. This game qualifies in a nice system that has cashed 24 of 33 times since 1995. What we want to do is play on road dogs off a straight up home favored loss if the total is 180 or higher and they have 3 or more days of rest. The Wolves were blown out at home by the Kings in their last game and will look to play much better here. The Wolves have kept it close several times against some of the leagues better team and will look to rise to the occasion tonight as they have the shock value of not having K. Love in the lineup. Teams without one of their top players usually step it up in the first game of the players absence. The Wolves have covered over 70% of the time when taking 12.5 or more points on the road. Dallas is just 2-8 against the spread as a home favorite from 12. to 16. Look for Minny to lose here tonight but by less than 16 points. Take Minnesota. On Thursday I have a rare 6* NCAAB Play backed with 2 undefeated Power systems that date to 1988. In the NBA I have another Big total with a system that has a 100% subset. We cashed 2 of 3 on Wednesday and the damage continues tonight. Jump on and Cash big with this Tripe pack. Take Minnesota +15.5 points as the free play. -Rob Vinciletti
