Illinois vs. Purdue Prediction: NCAA Football Picks for October 22nd 2011

Illinois vs. Purdue
Prediction: Illinois -3.5 (October 22nd 2011)
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT NCAA FOOTBALL PICKS

I like the 21st-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini to put a solid spanking on the mediocre Purdue Boilermakers in this Big Ten matchup after suffering a humbling 17-7 defeat at the hands of the rebuilding Ohio State Buckeyes as a 3.5-point home favorite no less. Purdue may be playing at home but they’re coming off a dismal 23-18 loss to Penn State a week ago, though they did manage to cover the spread as a 12-point road underdog. The Boilermakers have alternated SU wins and losses since the start of the regular season, but I think they’re going to suffer consecutive losses to a superior –and desperate – Illinois ballclub. The Fighting Illini are 5-1 ATS in their last half-dozen games following an SU loss and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games while Purdue has compiled an uninspiring 4-9-1 ATS mark in their last 14 home games versus a team with a winning road record. Play the Fighting Illini’ minus the points college football bettors! -Eric Williams (Touthouse.com)

Now Stephen has found a Friday play just as powerful. This play is so strong it rates as Stephen’s Friday Game of the Year. Read his in-depth analysis and see why this one cashes just as easy.

Week 7 NFL Picks for October 23rd 2011

Week 7 NFL Picks: October 23rd 2011
CLICK HERE FOR SUNDAY’S PREMIUM NFL PICKS

Week 7 NFL Pick: Seattle vs. Cleveland Over 40
The Seattle Seahawks (2-3 SU, 3-2 ATS) pulled off a huge upset the last time they took the field, beating the New York Giants 36-25 as a 10-point underdog in Week 5. The Cleveland Browns (2-3 SU, 1-3-1 ATS) have lost two consecutive games while failing to cash in each time out. Cleveland is coming off a 24-17 loss to Oakland as a 6.5-point road dog in Week 6. With these two teams putting up nearly identical offensive and defensive statistics this season, I believe the best pick for this matchup is to play the Over. These two teams combine to allow 47.8 points per game defensively and the Over is 13-3 in Seattle’s L/16 games. The Over has also gone 4-1 in Cleveland’s L/5 games as a favorite and 6-0 in Seattle’s last half-dozen games following an SU win. If the Seahawks put up 36 points against the Giants two weeks ago, they should be able to approach that figure in this contest as well.

Week 7 NFL Pick: Tennessee Titans -3
The Tennessee Titans (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS) had its three-game winning streak snapped in its 38-17 smackdown at the hands of Pittsburgh in Week 5 but will be well-rested following its Week 6 bye. The inconsistent Houston Texans (3-3 SU, 3-3 ATS) have lost two consecutive games and were basically overpowered in their 29-14 loss to Baltimore in Week 6 as a 7-point road underdog. Houston will visit its division rival in this Week 7 battle and I’m going to urge NFL gamblers to back the overachieving Titans in this contest, based mostly on the fact that they’re playing at home and have a solid veteran quarterback leading the way in Matt Hasselbeck. The Titans are 7-3 ATS in the L/10 meetings against Houston and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an SU or ATS loss. Houston hasn’t been able to step up and show it can with the AFC South despite the fact that the Indianapolis Colts are completely floundering without starting quarterback Peyton Manning. The underachieving Texans are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and 1-5 ATS in their L/6 road games overall. Back the Tennessee Titans to win and cash in pro football gamblers! College Football Picks: October 22nd 2011: Wisconsin vs. Michigan State Prediction

Wisconsin vs. Michigan State
Prediction: Wisconsin -8.5 (October 22nd 2011)
CLICK HERE FOR SATURDAY’S EXPERT COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS

The Wisconsin Badgers (6-0 SU, 5-0-1 ATS, 4-2 O/U) remained unbeaten on the season by spanking Indiana 59-7 to cash in against the spread as a gigantic 38-point favorite to also remain unbeaten against the spread (ATS) this season. The Badgers will likely have a tougher time in beating the 16th-ranked Michigan State Spartans (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS, 1-5 O/U) when the two Big Ten rivals meet at Spartan Stadium in this prime time matchup. Michigan State is coming off a solid 28-14 win over Michigan while covering the spread for the third consecutive game, this time as a 3-point home favorite. The Spartans will be looking to win beat the Badgers for the second consecutive year after beating their conference rivals 34-24 as a 3-point home underdog just last season.

Analysis: Nevertheless, I’m going to advise all college football bettors to back the Badgers to win this contest handily and cover the spread as a solid road favorite. While the Spartans have looked very solid in winning three straight games, the fact of the matter is that none of the Spartans’ past trio of opponents is in the same caliber of teams as the explosive Badgers. Not only is Wisconsin the No. 1 scoring team in the nation (50.2 ppg), but they’re also extremely stingy on the defensive side of the ball, ranking third in the country in points allowed per game (9.7). When you can score the ball like the Badgers – and routinely shut down opponents on the other side of the ball, then you’re opponent doesn’t stand much of a chance of winning. The underdog is 4-1 ATS in the L/5 meetings, but the Badgers have compiled a perfect 8-0 ATS mark in their L/8 conference games while also going 6-0 ATS in their last half-dozen games against a team with a winning record. Michigan State is 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as a home underdog and I just don’t see them covering the spread against the powerful Wisconsin Badgers. College Football Predictions for October 22nd 2011: Washington vs. Stanford

Washington vs. Stanford
Prediction: Washington +20 (October 22nd 2011)
CLICK HERE FOR SATURDAY’S COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS

The 25th-ranked Washington Huskies (5-1 SU, 5-1 ATS, 3-2-1 O/U) may have a fairly generous defense that gives up an eye-opening 28.5 points per contest, but I really like the offensively capable team to cash in against the spread when they visit the eighth-ranked Stanford Cardinal (6-0 SU, 6-0 ATS, 2-4 O/U) in this Pac-10 matchup on Saturday. Washington has won three consecutive games an annihilated Colorado 52-24 in Week 7 to cash in as a 17.5-point home favorite while extending their ATS winning streak to five games. Stanford is coming off its own resounding victory after beating Washington State 44-14 to cash in as a 20-point road favorite and routed the Huskies 41-0 just last season to cash in for college football bettors as a 7-point road favorite.

Analysis: Still, I’m going to urge Touthouse college football bettors to ride the Washington Huskies hard in this one as they’ve gone 9-1-1 ATS in their L/11 games and a nearly perfect 5-0-1 ATS in their L/6 road games. The Road team in this Pac-10 series has gone 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and that just makes the Huskies a bit more attractive if you ask me. Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech Prediction: NCAA Football Picks for October 22nd 2011

Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech
Prediction: Texas Tech +29 (October 22nd 2011)
CLICK HERE FOR SATURDAY’S EXPERT NCAA FOOTBALL PICKS

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-2 SU, 4-2 ATS, 5-1 O/U) have lost two straight games, including its heartbreaking 41-34 loss to Kansas State as a 3.5-point home favorite in Week 7. Unfortunately, the Red Raiders now get the unenviable task of trying to stop the third-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (6-0 SU, 4-2 ATS, 3-3 O/U) in this Big 12 showdown. Oklahoma cruised to an easy 47-17 blowout over Kansas on Saturday, but narrowly failed to cash in for college football bettors as an enormous 37-point road favorite to snap its modest two-game ATS winning streak. While Texas Tech junior quarterback Seth Doege is having an absolutely stellar season,, having completed a whopping 70.7 percent of his passes with 18 TDs and just four interceptions, the Red Raiders have been a mess on defense, allowing a whopping 29.5 points per game defensively, more than two touchdowns over the 15.8 points per contest the Sooners give up defensively.

Analysis: Still, the Red Raiders can score the ball with any team in the country and I suspect that ability to put points on the board will help them cover the insanely high point spread in this matchup. These two Big 12 schools have alternated SU wins and losses over the L/6 meetings with Oklahoma rolling to a 45-7 win just last season. Nevertheless, I like the Red Raiders to keep the final score a lot closer than expected, mostly because they average less than two points per contest defensively than the Sooners. The Red Raiders are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games as an underdog of more than 10.5 points and I believe they’ve got a bit too much offense to not cover this huge point spread! Back the Texas Tech Red Raiders to get ‘er done NCAA college football bettors. Get more NCAA football picks this Saturday from our professional sports handicappers at Touthouse.com.

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #112 Take Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Chicago Bears (Sunday 1 pm Fox) A former NFC Central match-up takes place on Sunday when the Chicago Bears head east to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London. This is an important game for both teams since they are in strong divisions, but we will side with the home team (technically speaking). I expect the Buccaneers to put pressure on QB Jay Cutler, as this was something that the Vikings did not do last Sunday. A really like the progress that QB Josh Freeman has been making and he now has the ability to beat you with his arm in addition to his legs. Chicago is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Tampa Bay is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog. Getting a point is too good to pass-up in this game, as Tampa Bay wins this battle in England.
