Pat Hill left Fresno State after 15 seasons and was replaced by Tim DeRuyter, a former def. coordinator at Texas A&M. He inherits some talented offensive players led by QB Derek Carr (3544yds, 26, 9). RB Robbie Brouse (1,549yds, 13 TDs) is one of the best backs in the nation. DeRuyter is switching to a spread offense. The offensive line returns three starters but they lose the top two receivers. On defense, they are switching to a 3-4 scheme. They allowed 35 ppg and 436ypds last year. Senior OLB Travis Brown (85tckles, 3scks) leads a defense that has many holes. It all starts up front, where they have to replace two starters
