Odds to win BCS Championship: 12-1 (Field)
(2011: 11-3 SU, 6-8 ATS). Ret. starters: (Off: 3, Def: 8).
The Huskies won a school-record-tying 11 games last year under new coach Dave Doeren. This year will be a little tougher as they have to replace QB Chandler Harnish (3216yds, 28, 6), 1379yds rushing). QB Jordan Lynch (6-0, 216) takes over as they retain just three starters from the nation’s #12 scoring offense (38.3ppg). WR Martell Moore (47 for 747yds, 7 TDs) is back along with one offensive lineman. They won’t average near 40ppg this year, but they don’t need to. That because they return eight starters on defense. FS Jimmie Ward (100tckls) is the top tackler back and an All-MAC player. DE Sean Progar (6-2, 254, 5.5 scks) is also an All-MAC player for the second straight year
