This sure has been one exciting series, hasn’t it? Tampa Bay has been squandering leads all week in Cleveland. Monday they were up 10-0 beofre falling 11-10, and last night they jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first before their pitching collapsed again en route to a 12-7 loss.
 
Exepct more of the same today as far as the high scoring goes. Cleveland sends rookie David Huff to the mound. To say Huff has been awful would be putting it mildly. He’s given up 13 earned runs in just 6 2/3 innings pitched in his 2 starts. In fact, his first start was against these Rays, where he was lit up to the tune of 7 earned runs in 3 2/3 innings.
 
Jeff Niemann gets the call for the Rays, and he’s been pretty decent of late. He went 6 innings in his last start, a no decsion vs. the Marlins in which he went 6 innings, allowing 1 run. Overall the big righty is 4-3 with a respectable 4.53 ERA.
 
The Rays have been very disappointing in ’09, coming off of their American League pennant in 2008. They hope to turn it around today against the struggling Huff. Either way, expect another high scoring ballgame this afternoon in Cleveland.
