The Orioles are showing some solid value as a road underdog at Toronto on Wednesday. Baltimore will send out Jason Hammel against the Blue Jays Brandon Morrow. While Morrow is the bigger name in baseball, he is not the better pitcher.

Hammel is one of the more underrated pitchers of 2012. He is 6-1 with a 2.78 ERA in nine starts. While he has fared a little better at home, he is 3-1 with a 3.72 ERA in five road starts. What you really have to like about Hammel is the fact that he is 4-0 with a 2.93 ERA in seven career starts against the Blue Jays. Two of those starts came this year. He has allowed just two earned runs over 12 innings.

On the other side, Morrow really came out strong in 2012, but he has found a lot of trouble of late. Morrow is 1-2 with a 7.36 ERA and 1.431 WHIP in his last three starts. He has also had his struggles against the Orioles, posting a 5.50 ERA and 1.306 WHIP in six starts. BET THE ORIOLES!
