Their bad play couldn’t come at a worse time as the Indians are slowly falling out of the American League playoff race. The Indians have really struggled on the road as they have dropped 19 of their last 26 games away from home coming into this one tonight. One guy who is struggling right along with the rest of the Indians is tonight’s starter Justin Masterson. It was just a month ago that Masterson was cruising along but he has fallen on hard times of late with an ERA in the mid 6.00 range and a WHIP at 1.75 in his last five starts.

The Detroit Tigers have been one of the better teams in baseball at home the last few years but that hasn’t really been the case this season, that is until lately as the Tigers have really turned things around at home and because of that they have climbed back into the thick of things in the AL Central playoff hunt. The Tigers come in winners of 16 of their last 21 home contests and are 9-1 the last ten times they have been favored at home. One team they have have had no problem against the last few years at home is tonight’s opponent the Cleveland Indians. Detroit has won 24 of the last 29 games against Cleveland at home.

The Tigers should be pumped up for this one, looking to get back some revenge for losing a series to these Indians in Cleveland about 10 days ago. Take Detroit here.
