Nashville Predators -138.0
Sat March 22 ‘08 3:05p
The Nashville Predators enter into this game looking to break a 6 game home winless streak, against a Chicago Blackhawks team that is going to miss this years playoffs, and has nothing left to play for. Needless to say, the Preds , who are also still looking for a post season appearance are desperate and will play like it here this afternoon. Final notes & Key Trends: Predators are 18-4 in their last 22 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game , which happened. Play on Nashville

Atlanta Thrashers @ Philadelphia Flyers u5.5 (100)
Tue Mar 18 ‘08 7:05p
The Under is now 7-1 in the last eight head-to-head meetings between the Atlanta Thrashers and the Philadelphia Flyers, and we see no reason why this game should be any different.
The Thrashers are having a very disappointing season after the best year in franchise history a year ago, and they have had trouble finding the net lately, scoring three goals or less in eight of their last nine games including scoring two or less in six of those contests. They have been particularly bad on the road all season, averaging just 2.30 goals per game overall.
The Flyers were actually contending for the division title a little while ago, but they have now plummeted to eighth in the East, no thanks to a current four-game losing streak. Philadelphia is averaging just 2.00 goals per game during this streak, scoring 1, 2, 2 and 3 goals respectively. Now granted, Atlanta is usually much more generous defensively, but none of the three head-to-head meetings so far this year have exceeded five combined goals scored.
We look for more of the same tonight, as these teams will struggle to reach five goals in their current forms.

Edmonton Oilers -135.0
Tue Mar 18 ‘08 9:35p
The Edmonton Oilers prepare to take on a tired Phoenix Coyotes team off a hard fought 3-1 loss to Vancouver last night. The Coyotes, need wins to get in the final play off spot, and will be in desperation mode, but that will not be enough to notch a win, vs a surging Oilers team that has won 8 of their L9 home games , and is also on a quest for a post season appearance. Final notes & Key Trends: Coyotes goalie Ilya Bryzgalov is 1-3-0 with a 3.73 GAA in four career games against the Oilers, including two losses this season. The Coyotes are just 4 for their L33 PP opportunities, which is not a good omen for their chances tonight, against one of the leagues top power play killing units (84.7%) Play on the Oilers

Dallas Stars (155)
Thu Mar 13 ‘08 7:35p
The Dallas Stars defeated the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 last month after losing the first two meetings this year, and we give them a good chance to even the season series at a nice price here.
The Stars ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-0 shutout of the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, as goaltender Marty Turco stopped 19 shots to improve to 30-16-4 with a 2.22 GAA and a nice .912 save percentage. Sure it has been a struggle offensively lately, but Turco and the Dallas defense gives the Stars a chance to win every game, which always makes then attractive as nice underdogs like this, and with three days off since their last game, perhaps the extra preparation could result in an improved offensive effort here.
Now obviously, this is no easy task as the Red Wings are 46-18-6 and have allowed the fewest goals in the league, at just 2.16 goals per game. However, they do not enjoy the big defensive advantage here as they usually do, and they may be short-handed here as wingers Tomas Holmstrom and Darren McCarty are both injured and defenseman Brett Lebda is fighting the flu. All three are listed as questionable here.
While this may not be another 1-0 final, we do expect a tight, low scoring game, so getting better than +150 looks like excellent value on the Stars here.

Free NHL Pick: Vancouver Canucks vs Anaheim Ducks u5.0
Wed March 12 ‘08 10:05p
The Vancouver Canucks behind all star goalie Roberto Loungo (2.21 GAA,.921 SV%) are one of the toughest teams in the NHL to score on as is evident by their 2.52 GAA on the season. The Anaheim Ducks are also a staunch defensive team, allowing an average of just 2.39 GPG on the season, behind top tier goalie JS Giguere ( 2.14 GAA, .921 SV%). With that said, look for these two teams to partake in a hard fought , western conference tilt, that will see both squads put forward a conservative transitional style of play. Final notes & Key Trends: Anaheim has gone under in 5 straight games and in 12 of their L15 overall. The Canucks have only eclipsed the number in 2 of their L10 overall. These teams have not gone over the total in 7 straight meetings, with the average combined score ringing in at 4 GPP. Play UNDER

New York Rangers -105.0
Mon March 10 ‘08 7:05p
The Buffalo Sabres prepare to host a red hot NY Rangers team that is 9-0-3 in their L12 games. The Rangers have owned the Sabres this season, winning all 3 meetings, with their top goalie Henrick Lunqvist , posting a 1.67 GAA. With that said lets ride the momentum of the Rangers at a value price. Final notes & Key Trends: NYR are 7-2 L9 road games. Sabres have lost 8 of their L10 against Atlantic division foes. Free NHL Picks: Buffalo Sabres vs. Montreal Canadiens
Montreal Canadiens -122.0
Fri February 29 ‘08 7:35p
The Montreal Canadiens enter into this tilt against the Buffalo Sabres , having lost 3 straight meetings in this series ,out scoring them during that span by a lopsided 11-3 count. I know the Habs have revenge on board , and are in good form, as is evident by winning 4 of their L6 , but the Sabres are no push overs at home, and will be ready to continue their domination of the eastern conference foes. Final notes & Trends: Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller, 10-3-2 with a 2.29 goals-against average in 15 career starts against the Canadiens. Montreal has also lost 21 of their 29 games in upstate NY. Home team s 7-1 L8 meetings in this series. Play on the Sabres

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Boston Bruins u5.5 (-115)
Thu Feb 28 ‘08 7:05p
The Pittsburgh Penguins may have trouble getting some offensive continuity the next few games considering all the new players they traded for at the deadline, and the Boston Bruins would be tough to score on in Beantown in any event.
Boston is allowing just 2.20 goals per game at home for the season, with the Under going a lucrative 19-10 in this rink. It helps to have an All-Star goaltender like Tim Thomas in net, as he has a good 2.41 GAA with a .924 save percentage. Most importantly, he recovered from one of his worst games of the season, when he was benched during a 5-4 win at Florida, by shutting out the high-octane Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.
Now the Penguins will eventually be explosive due to the acquisition of Marian Hossa from the Atlanta Thrashers, as Hossa is just one year removed from a 100-point season and he will make a formidable duo with Sidney Crosby soon. However, this is Hossa’s first game with the Pens and Crosby is not ready for game action just yet. Thus, Pittsburgh may again rely on the red-hot goaltending of Ty Conkin, who has a sensational 2.19 GAA in 27 games and who incredibly stopped 50 shots vs. the Islanders Tuesday, basically stealing the 4-2 win himself.
We look for both goaltenders to stay hot here in a relatively low scoring contest.
