The Gophers finally have an on campus stadium after years of playing indoors at the Metrodome. TCF Bank Stadium will open tonight with a lot of fanfare in the Twin Cities. Minnesota won a big road game at Syracuse last week to get their season off to a good start. The QB-WR combo of Adam Weber and Eric Decker is one of the best in the Big Ten. Minnesota needs a win here, because the schedule is about to get much harder, beginning with California next week.
Air Force is always a force to be reckoned with, and coach Troy Calhoun has a good chance at another bowl bid this season. Their normally high powered offense is a bit inexperienced this season with young QB Tim Jefferson leading the way. The defense struggled down the stretch last year, and that’s a bad sign against the Gophers high powered attack.
