The Marist Red Foxes have won the last four head-to-head meetings with the Rider Broncs including an upset win in this building last season, and we look for history to repeat tonight.
Marist is 7-6 straight up overall, but they have been competitive against some nice teams, and they are 3-2 SU in their true road games this season. They are coming off of a nice 73-67 win over Hofstra in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden after giving hosts St. John’s all that they can handle the previous night, covering the number in a hard-fought 62-59 defeat. The Red Foxes also have covering losses vs. Temple (in overtime) and surprising Houston on their resume.
Now Rider is 8-5 SU, but outside of a road win at Rutgers, they have really not beaten much. Yes, they are 4-0 SU at home, but three of those wins came vs. non-lined opponents, and they failed to cover the number in the other home win, beating Delaware just 76-71 as seven-point chalk.
Now we do that that Rider has a good team this year, but Marist will be the best team they will have faced at home so far, so we are very leery about giving points with the Broncs in this spot.

UC Davis(6-7) despite of being in their first full season of Division 1 ball ,are showing some good work ethic and decent talent, which has turn made them very competitive. Their visiting opponents UC Riverside(3-9) are a program that is rebuilding, after a miserable 1-13 Big Sky campaign last season, and are now trying to deal with a roster full of under sized players, that seem to always be hobbled by nagging injuries.
