Missouri @ Kansas o151.5
Monday February 4 ‘08 9:00p

Kansas enters into this tilt averaging 85.9 PPG on their own home floor this season, while Missouri their visiting inter conference foes have allowed an average of 82.2 PPG on the road. Needless to say I can see the Jayhawks putting a boatload of points on the board, and for a very capable Missouri offense, that averages 79.7 PPG to reciprocate ,with a run and gun effort of their own or be blown off the court . Everything points to this being an all out offensive slug feast. Final notes & Key Trends:Kansas enters into this tilt having gone over in 11 straight home games against conference opponents. Villanova +5.0 (-110)

Villanova (13-7/3-6 Big East) at St. Joseph’s (14-5/6-1 Atlantic 10) – Villanova is struggling to find a victory, losers of four straight games while burning their betting backers on a 1-10 ATS run. The Wildcats have been beaten by double-digits by each of the last four Big East foes, and sophomore guard Scotty Reynolds is unable to carry this young team by himself. Villanova has seven freshman and sophomores in its 10-man rotation, and will be hard-pressed for a peak performance in their first round facing an experienced St. Joe’s team at the Palestra. St. Joe’s enters on a five game winning streak led by 6-10 forward Pat Calathes who leads the Hawks in scoring and rebounding while stepping outside for five 3-pointers per game (42%). The Hawks are always well coached by Phil Martelli, and St. Joe’s has good offensive balance and some additional solid shooters with Nivins (57% conf), Carr and Ferguson all hitting over 45% from the field. Still, despite the Wildcats struggles, this ‘Philadelphia Classic’ match-up looks like a spot for them to ‘claw’. The past three seasons has seen Villanova win and cover as a solid favorite over St. Joe’s. Now they are a mid-sized underdog with a coach well-seasoned in the meaning of this Big 5 match-up. Experienced Hawks have some edges, but must respect Villanova coach Jay Wright in the underdog role, as the Wildcats have gone 40-22 ATS as pick ‘em or ‘Dog under his tutelage.

Louisiana Tech @ Fresno State u130.0 (-110)
Mon Feb 4 ‘08 10:00p

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are truly one of the worst teams in the country, and with the opponents, the Fresno State Bulldogs, doing most of the scoring tonight, that should make it hard for this game to go Over the total.

Louisiana Tech is averaging 58.2 points per game on a poor 39.4 percent shooting overall, but as bad as those numbers are, they have been ever worse on the road where they average just 54.4 points while hitting a pathetic 38.4 percent from the field. The first meeting between these schools in Ruston this season went easily Under in a 61-44 Fresno triumph.

In fact, the Under is now 4-1 in the last five head-to-head meetings. Fresno State is not exactly tearing things up right now either, losing four of their last five games. In the three regulation time losses during this stretch, the most points the scored is 67. A duplicate effort here would basically ensure a safe Under.

We look for a carbon copy of the first meeting between the teams this season.
