Free mlb baseball picks May 23rd OVER 11 Philadelphia/New York Yankees:
The Launching pad that is Yankee Stadium provided us with 8 Home Runs last, yes, 8 Home Runs! This trend should continue easily today in game 2 of a three game set between the Yankees and Phillies. Philadelphia will send JA Happ to the mound for the start. Happ has come out of the bullpen this year and done a nice job. This will be his first start of 2009 as he replaces Chan Ho Park in the Phillies rotation. Veteran lefty Andy Pettitte takes the hill for the Bronx Bombers this afternoon. Pettitte is 4-1 with a 4.18 ERA so far this season. He’s been up and down in 2009, and this might not be a great amtchup for him considering the Phillies power. Definitely looks like an easy over this afternoon in the Bronx.

Chicago White Sox -130 over Pittsburgh:
After that 20-1 debacle the other day, the White received a wake up call from manager Ozzie Guillen and they responded last night with a shutout victory, pitcher Gavin Floyd’s best effort of the season. They’ll look to continue that today with youngster Clayton Richard facing the Pirates. Richard, a 2008 USA Olympian has been up and down this season, but is coming off of his best outing, allowing just 1 run in 7 innings against the Blue Jays on Monday. This kid will continue to improve with experience. Pittsburgh counters with Ross Ohlendorf, who has been a nice surprise for them after coming over in a trade with the Yankees last July. Ohlendorf is 5-3 with a 4.31 ERA this far in ‘09, but was hit pretty hard in his last start, allowing 5 runs in 5 innings vs. Washington on May 18. Look for the Pale Hose to get on a little roll, bouncing back from that embarassing game on Thursday.
