Free Prediction: Oakland +6.5
This one should be an interesting game, dominated by defenses. Two really strong D’s, going against not so polished quarterbacks. JaMarcus Russell has been terrible this year, but did step up a little last week in the Raiders win over Philadelphia. Hopefully he’s improving, but he’s got a long way to go to prove he’s worth the #1 pick a few years ago. Mark Sanchez was AWFUL last week against the Bills, and the Raiders have a much better, more agressive defense than Buffalo does.  expect the Vikes to fall in their first true road test of the season against a Steelers team that is finding its stride with 3 straight wins of 8 points or more. Minnesota’s defense struggled to defend the pass against the Ravens last week and that figures to haunt the Vikes here. Minnesota is 1-10 ATS in road games after allowing 7 or more yards/play in their previous game since 1992. Pittsburgh is 11-2 ATS in home games after gaining 300 or more passing yards in last game since 1992.
