Maryland vs. Virginia Tech Betting Odds & Winning Picks: November 6th 2008

November 6th, 2008

Two ACC teams will play on Thursday night, as the Virginia Tech Hokies host the 23rd seeded Maryland Terrapins. Maryland has won five of its last six games to move into first place in the Atlantic Division. The Terps game their home crowd an exciting 27-24 win over North Carolina State two weeks ago. They had a “bye” last weekend and look to enter this game both rested and optimistic. As for Virginia Tech, they have lost their last two game to drop to fourth place in the Coastal Division. Like Maryland, Tech hasn’t played in nearly 2 weeks, and its last game resulted in a 30-20 loss to the Seminoles on the road. There is some reason for optimism, however, as the Hokies have won their last four home games when hosting a ranked team and not being ranked themselves. Maryland owns a 15-13 series lead over Virginia Tech, but Virginia Tech has won the last three games.

5dimes.com oddsmakers currently have the Hokies listed as 3 point betting odds favorite against the Terps with the games over/under sitting at 41.5 total points
