Sunshine State rivals duke it out at Amway Arena on Sunday night in a heated NBA betting affair. The Miami Heat (29-30, 29-30 ATS) will face the Orlando Magic (39-20, 30-28-1 ATS). Miami’s five game winning streak stopped last weekend with an excusable 97-91 loss in Dallas, but a 91-88 defeat at home against the lowly Timberwolves was unacceptable. Orlando was knocked off 100-93 in New Orleans on Friday night, but will return home where it has won three of its L/4. The Magic are still in front of the Southeast Division, but the lead is a tenuously small one against Atlanta. The Heat are probably out of the divisional race, but need to continue putting together wins to keep in the playoff picture.

Entering Saturday’s game with Milwaukee, the Heat had been playing fantastic defense, holding eight straight foes under 100 points. In their L/7, Miami has only allowed a svelte 82.7 points per game, including keep three straight opponents under 80 points from February 9th to 16th. G Dwyane Wade has been out of the lineup with an injured calf, and his status for Sunday’s game is still unknown. If he doesn’t play, a combination of F Michael Beasley (15.8 points per game) and F Jermaine O’Neal (13.4 points per game) will have to step it up.

C Dwight Howard has been on a tear of late, recording 22 straight double-doubles. His 26 points and ten boards against the Hornets wasn’t enough though, as the rest of the offense really let the Magic down. G Jameer Nelson is coming off of one of his best games of his season, scoring 19 points and dishing out 11 assists. It was his first double-double since January 2nd against the Bulls.

Orlando is 10-4-1 ATS in its L/15 battle against the Heat, but Miami took a 104-86 decision in South Beach back on December 17th. The Heat are also only 16-33-2 ATS in their L/51 games played on Sunday. The home team is 5-2-1 ATS in the L/8 clashes of these Sunshine State foes.
