This is golden opportunity to jump on the Cardinals. St Louis has won four straight overall, including an easy 7-4 win in game 1 of their current series against the Astros. A big reason why the Cardinals have been surging is they are finally getting some big time production out of Albert Pujols, who is hitting .419 with six home runs and 11 RBIs in his last eight games.

St Louis also has one of their best pitchers on the mound in Jamie Garcia, who is 6-1 with a 3.05 ERA this season. Garcia is also coming off one of his best starts of the year, allowing just one run on four hits in eight innings against the Cubs.

Garcia and the Cardinals offense should have no trouble pulling away against a Houston team that has lost four straight overall. The Astros have scored just 10 runs in those four games, and are averaging just 3.8 runs a game against lefties this season. Houston is also just 12-18 against the NL Central, while the Cardinals are an impressive 15-9 against their division opponents.
