NCAA Basketball Picks: Kansas State vs. Notre Dame
Take Kansas State Wildcats
1 Unit on Kansas State +5.5 The Wildcats are being undervalued here and we’ll take advantage. Notre Dame went down to Baylor earlier this season-a Big 12 team not nearly as talented as the Cats. K-State is coming off a 3-point loss to Oregon, a team many feel is a Final Four contender, and will be in bounce back mode tonight. Notre Dame has lost 4 straight games ATS. K-State is 25-12 ATS in road games versus good offensive teams scoring 77+ points/game since 1997 and 15-5 ATS when well rested, playing only their 2nd game in a week over the last 2 seasons. Take the points here with the better team.
NCAA Basketball Picks: North Carolina – Greensboro vs. Virginia Tech
Take Virginia Tech Hokies
3* on Virginia Tech -10 Virginia Tech beat UNC-Greensboro last season 74-51 in a route on the road. Now they face this same team at home in ’07 and it looks to be another blowout victory for the Hokies. UNC-Greensboro dropped their last road game to Missouri State by a final score of 79-52 as an 8-point dog. UNC-Greensboro is 1-10 ATS after playing 3 consecutive games as an underdog over the last 3 seasons. They are just 7-17 ATS in all non-conference games over the last 3 years as well. Deron Washington and A.D. Vassalo are back this season for the Hokies as their two premier returning starters. Each posted 17 points in their last game and both should have big games tonight. Bet Virginia Tech at home.
NCAA BAsketball Picks: Southern California vs. Memphis
Take Southern California Trojans
1 Unit on USC +7 We like the Trojans to take this one right down to the wire against Memphis so we’ll take the points. There’s no way the Tigers should be laying this many in a neutral court game against a team like USC with lots of offensive talent. USC is 10-2 ATS when playing against a top-level team (Win Pct. > 80%) over the last 2 seasons and 10-1 ATS vs. top caliber teams outscoring their opponents by 12+ points/game over the last 2 seasons. USC is also 6-0 ATS after scoring 55 points or less over the last 3 seasons so we feel very good about this one taking the Trojans in a bounce back spot. Memphis hasn’t seen a team this capable of scoring all season and after being held down by Kansas, we expect a big night from the Trojans. Take the points.
