Okay Touthouse NFL gamblers, you’re in for a whopper of a matchup here as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (10-3 SU, 7-6 ATS) head into Denver for a date with the incendiary Broncos (8-5 SU, 7-6 ATS) amid all of the insane international hoopla surrounding controversial quarterback Tim Tebow. It may not ‘seem’ like it, but the New England Patriots have won five straight, including its solid 34-27 road win over Washington in week 14, though they narrowly failed to cover the spread as a 7.5-point road favorite to fall to 0-2 ATS over its last two games and just 2-5 ATS over its L/7 games overall. Denver has been even hotter than the Pats in winning six straight games and seven of their L/8 games overall. The Broncos pulled off another improbable fourth quarter comeback to beat Chicago 13-10 in Week 14 but played out as a Push as a 3-point home favorite following five straight ATS victories.

Analysis: While the Denver Broncos are playing absolutely fantastic football in winning six straight, I’ve got to advise Touthouse pro football bettors to back Tom Brady and the Patriots in this contest mostly because they are a much better offensive team than the Broncos, no matter what Tim Tebow’s success would have you believe. The Patriots average 10.2 points per game more than the Broncos while also allowing 2.1 fewer points per game defensively. New England is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and an impressive 9-4 ATS in their L/13 games against their AFC counterparts. Denver has covered the spread in five straight games, but they’ve also gone 1-4 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a winning road record and 2-5-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record overall. I hate to go against Tim Tebow, but I like Tom Brady to give the young signal-caller a, old-school ‘schooling’ on how to really succeed throwing the ball from the pocket.
