The Los Angeles Angels are showing solid value as a small home favorite Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox. The Angels are off to a slow start this season, but as a result they are undervalued right now. It’s only a matter of time before they get rolling with the talent they have on this roster.

Los Angeles is coming off a solid 4-0 victory last night, and now they send underrated starter Jerome Williams to the bump. As a starter, Williams is 3-1 with a 3.37 ERA and 1.156 WHIP in five outings. The right-hander is 3-0 with a 2.01 ERA and 0.940 WHIP in three home starts.

Gavin Floyd is having a solid season for Chicago as well, but he’s 0-2 with a 3.15 ERA through three road starts in 2012. Also, Floyd gave up 6 earned runs over 6 innings in his last start against the Angels. He is now 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA in his last three games against Los Angeles.

This play falls into a system that is 54-19 (74%) over the last 5 seasons. It tells us to bet against any team (CHI WHITE SOX) – terrible offensive team. Get more baseball picks today at Touthouse.com

Pick: Los Angeles Angels -123
The Angels need a miracle to make it to the postseason, as they trail the Red Sox by 3 games in the Wild Card standings with just 3 games left and are also two games back of the Rays. While the odds aren’t great, as long as their is a chance I expect this team to come out and put everything on the line to bring home a win. That really makes them a strong play at home tonight against the Rangers. Los Angeles will start Dan Haren against C.J. Wilson. The Rangers have already locked up the AL West and will simply be going through the motions over the final three games of the season. Wilson is a great starter, but I can’t imagine the Rangers keeping him out there for long as they will want him to be as fresh as possible going into game 1 of their first round matchup. Haren comes in 15-9 with a 3.22 ERA on the season, 8-3 with a 2.47 ERA on the road, and 2-1 with a 2.86 ERA in his last three starts. The Angels are 23-8 in their last 31 home games vs. a left-handed starter, 16-6 in their last 22 games as a home favorite of -110 to -150, and 5-1 in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. BET THE ANGELS! -Steve Janus

Pick: Red Sox vs. Orioles Under 9
On Monday night the free MLB System Play is on the Under in the Boston at Baltimore game. Rotation numbers 917/918 at 7:05 eastern. This game fits a solid totals system here that plays to the under for road favorites of -200 or higher off a road win, vs an opponent who was also on the road in their last game. These games tend to be low scoring. Boston has J. Beckett making the start as they try and hold on for the wild card. Beckett has gone under in 11 of his 15 road starts and has a solid 2.68 road era this season. Four of the six games here this season have gone under and the Redsox have played under 5 of 7 times as a road favorite of -175 or higher. Look for this one to stay under the posted total. On Monday the lead plays are the 18-0 Triple angle Power play and The MLB Dominator Side. Sunday NFL moved to 27 games over .500 as our 3 highest rated plays cashed with KC, Denver and Indy. Jump on and start the week out right. I will have another free play on tonight’s radio show at 7:05 eastern. Listen online at 88.9 wsia.fm. For the free play take the Under in Boston at Baltimore game. -Rob Vinciletti

MLB Baseball Picks: Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels: September 7th 2011

Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels
MLB Baseball Pick: Los Angeles Angels -1.5 +109 odds (September 7th 2011)

The Los Angeles Angels are in a battle with the Texas Rangers for first place in the AL West division. They know they cannot afford to lose to the lowly Seattle Mariners after a bad loss to them last night, and we see them bouncing back strong here Wednesday. They’ll get to face Charlie Furbush, who is 2-6 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.634 WHIP as a starter this season. Furbush is 0-4 with an 11.30 ERA and 2.650 WHIP in four road starts, allowing 18 earned runs and 38 base runners in 14 1/3 innings. The Angels will certainly be licking their chops at the opportunity to face him tonight. Jerome Williams has pitched very well in two starts for L.A., going 2-0 with a 3.21 ERA and 1.071 WHIP. Furbush is 0-2 with a 5.90 ERA in two starts against the Angels in 2011. The Angels are 16-4 (+14.2 Units) against the money line off a loss to a division rival as a favorite over the last 2 seasons. They are winning in this spot 5.4 to 2.6 on average. Take the Angels on the Run Line.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners Pick: MLB Odds for August 31st 2011

Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners
Pick: Seattle Mariners +106 MLB odds (August 31st 2011)

5* graded play on Seattle as they host the LA Angels set to start at 10:10 PM ET. My proprietary sports handicapping database and simulator shows a high probability that Seattle will win this game. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a record of 102-57 making 44.4 units per one unit wagered since 2005. Play on home teams when the money line is +125 to -125 that is a poor AL offensive team scoring <=4.5 runs per game starting a well rested pitcher who is working on five or six days rest and facing a team with a good bullpen sporting an ERA<=3.75. Seattle is the worst offense in the majors, but they have one of the best starters in the majors and the defending Cy Young Award winner in Felix Hernandez on the hill tonight. Seattle ranks 29th in the majors scoring 468 runs scored, 30th (dead last) with a .235 team batting average, 30th with a .297 on-base-percentage, and 30th with a .349 slugging-percentage. However, since the all-star break Seattle ranks 14th in the majors with a .259 team batting average so they are far better than in the first half of the season. Many times getting Hernandez three runs is all it takes for the team to win. Hernandez has posted a 3.86 ERA and a 1.381 WHIP over his last three starts. For the season he has struck out 195 batters and is averaging 7.2 innings per start in 28 made starts. Dan Haren will start for Anaheim and he was roughed up in his last start allowing six ER on 11 hits including two home runs in an 11-7 loss at Texas. Hernandez is a solid 17-5 (+11.6 Units) against the money line at home when the money line is +125 to -125 since 1997. Take the Seattle Mariners.

MLB Baseball Predictions: Angels vs. Mariners Odds: August 29th 2011

Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners
MLB Baseball Prediction: Seattle Mariners +120 odds (August 29th 2011)

5* graded play on Seattle as they take on the Anaheim Angels set to start at 10:10 PM ET. My proprietary simulator and statistical database shows a high probability that Seattle will win this game. Anaheim is coming off a loss with their ace Weaver pitching last night and lost two of three games to the AL West division leading Rangers. The Angels trail the Rangers by three games. Although they need to continue winning and extending their recent 7-3 winning streak they will be flat for this game tonight. Losing two-of three to the rangers and then having to travel late exacerbates fatigue at this time of the season. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced an 88-32 record for 73.3% winners and has made 49.2 units per one unit wagered since 2005. Play against any team that is a struggling AL offensive team scoring <=4.2 runs per game and facing a good starting pitcher sporting an ERA<=4.20 and after allowing nine runs or more. Further supporting this graded play are game situations noting that the Angels are just 11-21 (-12.8 Units) against the money line in road games facing an AL team with an on base percentage .330 or worse in the second half of the season over the last two seasons. I strongly believe that Seattle will have great success against their former starter Pineiro tonight. Take Seattle. Get more MLB baseball predictions from John Ryan at Touthouse.com

We’ll side with the surging Los Angeles Angels Tuesday as they look to gain more ground on the Texas Rangers in the AL West. The Angels try to win for the seventh time in nine games and move over .500 for the first time in 3 1/2 weeks against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night. This recent run has pulled them within 1 1/2 games of Texas. While Jason Marquis has been solid at home, he has struggled on the road. Marquis is 3-2 with a 4.67 ERA and 1.500 WHIP in nine road starts this year. Joel Pineiro has been steady all season for Los Angeles, going 3-3 with a 3.84 ERA in 11 starts. Marquis is 0-1 with an 18.92 ERA and 3.303 WHIP in one lifetime start versus Los Angeles, while Pineiro sports a 2.70 ERA and 1.170 WHIP in five lifetime starts versus Washington. The Nationals are 7-24 (-16.2 Units) against the money line as a road underdog of +100 to +125 over the last 2 seasons. Washington is 7-25 (-16.2 Units) against the money line in road games revenging a one run loss to opponent over the last 3 seasons. The Angels are 16-4 (+13.2 Units) against the money line vs. an NL team with an on base percentage .325 or worse over the last 3 seasons. The Nationals are 7-21 in their last 28 interleague road games. The Angels are 60-27 in their last 87 interleague games. Los Angeles is 31-11 in their last 42 interleague games vs. a team with a winning record. The Angels are 11-1 in Pineiro’s last 12 starts as a home favorite. Take the Angels on the Money Line.

New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Angels
MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels +135 odds (June 4th 2011)
Visit Touthouse.com for more expert MLB picks from John Ryan

5* graded play on the Los Angeles Angels as they host the New York Yankees set to start at 9:05 PM ET. My proprietary sports handicapping database and simulator shows a high probability that Anaheim will win this game. I correctly had Anaheim last night as a 10* Titan winner and I fully expect them to defeat the Yankees again tonight. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a record of 98-46 making 44.3 units per one unit wagered since 2005. Play on home AL teams with a low on-base percentage of <=.320 and with a starting pitcher whose strikes out five or more batters per start and is facing a team with a good bullpen posting a WHIP <=1.350. Angels starter Santana is a solid 13-4 making 10.6 units against the money line when playing against a team winning between 54% to 62% of their games over the last three seasons. Yankees are not in a good situation for this game noting they are just 10-19 losing 17.7 units against the money line after three straight games where the bullpen gave up no runs over the last two seasons. Take the Anaheim Angels.
