This is a Free MLB pick on the Chicago White Sox +1.5 Runs for May 7th 2013.

Chicago will visit the Mets for the first time in history on Tuesday, playing the first of two inter-league games in New York. The Mets lost to the Braves on Sunday, and they have just two wins in their last nine games overall.

They will have high expectations today, with 24 year old Matt Harvey on the mound. Harvey (4-0, 1.56 ERA) has been brilliant all year, winning his first four starts, and yet to suffer a defeat. He really hasn’t been that sharp his last two times out though, despite putting up what appear to be good numbers.

He allowed just one run on seven hits, while walking a pair over 5 1/3, in a 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Fish. Miami didn’t do themselves a lot of favors, as they had plenty of chances to score a few runs, but left runners stranded on base all night. In the end, the bullpen failed to close the door twice, once in the bottom of the ninth, and again in the 15th.

The White Sox send Hector Santiago to the mound, and he’s worked primarily out of the bullpen. Santiago (1-1, 2.29 ERA) won his only previous start, allowing one run on two hits over five innings in a 3-1 game against Texas. He’s had five career starts, going 3-0 with a 1.82 ERA.

Both young pitchers have put up impressive numbers, both with a relatively small sample size. I have noticed some troubling signs that could be of concern for Harvey though, and the Mets bullpen leaves a lot to be desired.

Take CWS +1.5

We’re getting the Los Angeles Dodgers at a very generous price Tuesday with 2011 NL Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw on the mound. I’ll take advantage and look forward to adding to my 24-2 run L26 free baseball predictions.

After going 21-5 with a 2.28 ERA in 2011, Kershaw came back with a 14-9 record and 2.53 ERA in 2012. The left-hander is off to a 2-2 start with a 1.88 ERA in 2013 as well. Hands down, he’s the best starter in the National League.

The biggest reason for backing Los Angeles tonight is its ace’s numbers against his opponent. Kershaw is 5-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 1.169 WHIP in six career starts against New York. The Dodgers are a perfect 6-0 in those six starts having never lost. Bet Los Angeles Tuesday.

Today’s comp MLB baseball pick is Colorado over New York.

Colorado comes off their second series sweep of San Diego this season. After two weeks, the Rockies are the only team in baseball that is undefeated at home with a 3-0 record in their house. Colorado took the L4 contests vs. New York, a season ago. Currently, the team is posting an average of 5.42 RPG overall but when hosting, they score 6.67 RPG, outscoring visitors by 4.67 RPG. Their lineup possesses five sluggers hitting .300 or better, including three batters already in DDs in Home Runs, and five players with 13 or more hits. Today, Juan Nicasio takes the mound. The RH is 1-0 on the season, never facing NY in his career, but owns a lifetime 6-3 home mark. New York has one of the Majors highest-scoring teams in the League…HOWEVER, they faced four teams that are a combined 14-33, as three of those clubs are in last place and the other is a fourth place team. Murphy, Buck, and Wright are playing sold ball as supporting cast members, Tejada and Byrd are contributing as well. But the offense also has 85 Ks and only 6 SBs. Their pitching is mediocre, allowing 3.53 RPG while their defense has already committed 8 Errors. Dillon Gee gets the nod. The RH is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. Last season, Gee had a road ERA of 5.16. The Rockies are 7-0 their L7 games played at home, 7-1 their L8 vs. RH starters, and 9-3 in Nicasio’s L12 as a home fav. The Mets are 11-31 their L42 games vs. teams with a winning record, 5-16 their L21 games played as a ‘dog, and 2-8 in Gee’s L10 starts. Take Colorado. Thank you.

The Mets are showing value at home at this price against a struggling Pittsburgh club that has dropped 17 of 22.

The Mets enter with some momentum following a 3-game sweep of Miami. Plus, they haven’t had much trouble against the Pirates. The Mets have won 13 of the last 19 meetings overall and 19 of the last 26 at home.

The Pirates are 3-13 in their last 16 road games and even 1-6 in their last 7 road games versus a team with a losing home record. The Mets are 5-1 in their last 6 home games versus a team with a losing record. Bet the Mets.

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -130

The Philadelphia Phillies have made a remarkable run to get to .500 on the season at 74-74. They still have an outside shot at making the postseason as a wild-card in the National League, and until they’re eliminated, they’ll continue to fight.

The New York Mets have clearly packed it in, losing nine of their last 10 games overall to fall to 66-81 on the season. They are 4-23 in their last 27 home games while hitting .223 and scoring 2.2 runs/game during this stretch as hosts.

Cole Hamels is 15-6 with a 3.06 ERA this season, including 4-0 with a 2.44 ERA in his last seven starts. The left-hander is 2-0 with a 4.09 ERA in three starts against the Mets this season.

The Phillies are 6-0 in Hamels’ last 6 starts as a favorite. Philly is 60-23 in Hamels’ last 83 starts vs. a team with a losing record. The Mets are 0-7 in their last 7 vs. National League East. New York is 1-11 in its last 12 games as a home underdog of +110 to +150. Bet the Phillies Wednesday.

Pick: Washington Nationals +102

I have backed the Washington Nationals the last two days with success, and I’m going to pull the trigger on them at a great price again tonight. Washington (88-54) owns the best record in baseball and wants to clinch home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

The New York Mets (65-77) have already packed it in. They have lost five straight while scoring a combined nine runs in the process, or an average of 1.8 runs/game. Matt Harvey is a solid young starter for New York, but I don’t see him getting much run support tonight.

John Lannan has replaced Stephen Strasburg in the Nationals’ rotation. The left-hander is off to a good start, going 2-0 with a 3.46 ERA and 1.231 WHIP in two starts this season. Lannan sports a 3.75 ERA and 1.220 WHIP in 11 career starts against New York.

The Nationals are 8-2 in their last 10 vs. a team with a losing record. Washington is 42-17 in their last 59 road games vs. a right-handed starter. The Mets are 5-22 in their last 27 home games. The Nationals are 20-6 in the last 26 meetings, including 11-1 in the last 12 meetings in New York. Bet Washington Wednesday.

On Saturday the free MLB Play is on the NY. Mets. Game 904 at 1:10 eastern. This is a run line play at -1.5 runs as the Mets are heavily favored in this one. Teams like the Mets that are home favorites in this range have cashed nearly 90% of the time if they are off a home favored loss at -200 or higher and scored 2 or less runs and lost by 2 or more runs, vs an opponent like Houston that won as a road dog of +140 or higher and scored 4 or less runs. Houston with the win last night snapped their 8 game losing streak taking their road record to 13-51 on the year. They may be the only team playing worse than the Mets. New York will look to out an end to their 6 game losing streak with their ace. R.A. Dickey is on the mound today and he is 9-3 with a 2.37 home era. He will oppose Astros lefty Abad who has only pitched 23 innings this season and has a 3.86 era allowing 28 hits and 4 home runs so far this year. The Mets for all their struggle are actually 4 games over .500 in day games. Look for them to win this one today. On Saturday we hae another Huge day planeed led by the 6* NFL Preseason Play of the Year backed with an incredible 20-0 system. NFLX went 3-0 on Friday and is now on a 9-1 run. The D-backs dropped the first game of the series, but I expect them to bounce back strong here against a New York club that has dropped 12 of its last 14. Also, keep in mind that the Mets have dropped 6 of their last 7 in Arizona.

Shockingly enough, the Mets are 0-9 in their last 9 games versus a right-handed starter. Their struggles against the righties figures to continue with the way Collmenter has been dealing. The D-backs have won 3 of his last 4 starts, during which he has given up just 5 earned runs in 22 innings. The Diamondbacks are 9-3 in Collmenter’s last 12 home starts and 5-0 in his last 5 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.

The Mets, meanwhile, are 0-3 in Niese’s last 3 starts, and he has given up 11 earned runs in 21 innings during this stretch. Take Arizona.

Washington went down Monday, but I expect it to bounce back here against a New York club it has defeated eight times in the past 10 meetings.

The Nationals are a perfect 6-0 in their last six games following a loss and 5-0 in their last five home games versus a team with a winning record. The Mets enter this contest on a four-game skid.

In addition, the Nationals are 7-0 in Detwiler’s last 7 starts versus NL East foes and 12-4 in his last 16 starts versus a team with a winning record. The Mets are 0-4 in Niese’s last four road starts versus a team with a winning record. We’ll bet the Nats.

If you have been following my BASEBALL releases, you are making a killing as I am 24-11 my L35 MLB overall plays. Let’s go into the All-Star break next week, with a HUGE BANKROLL and sitting pretty. I continue my domination of the Major League today with this FREE MLB WINNER and 2 of my biggest and strongest releases yet this season. I have posted my 75%, 9-3 MLB GRAND SLAM and my 100%, 1-0 NL CENTRAL GAME OF THE MONTH. All you have to do is get these games and then find a place to hide all those profits.

Today’s FREE MLB WINNER is New York over Philadelphia.

Despite a 9-2 win last night over New York, Philadelphia has been slumping as they are just 3-7 their L10 and dwell in the cellar of the NL East at 37-46. Their offense scores 4.30 RPG . With Nix, Schneider, Howard, and Galvis out, Ruiz and Pence are the only players producing at the plate for the Phillies. Cole Hammels throws today. The LH is 10-4 on the season but does not get a heck of a lot of run support in his appearances. Lifetime, the pitcher is 5-10 vs. New York. He faces a Mets team that is only 4 1/2 GB of the Nationals in the NL East. They have won 5 of their L7, scoring 45 runs in those 5 victories. The team ranks 8th in scoring with 4.61 RPG as David Wright leads a solid supporting cast of Murphy, Duda, Davis, and Nieuwenhuis (check status, the CF hurt his hand a few days ago and is likely to hit the DL. RA Dickey takes the mound here. The RH is 12-1 with a 2.15 ERA, including a perfect 6-0, 1.85 record at home. He already pitched 7.0 innings with a 1.29 ERA ( giving up 1 run), and earning the victory over Philly back on April 13th. The Phillies are 1-6 their L7 games played vs. the NL East, 1-7 their L8 games played on the road, and 3-7 in Hamels L10 starts vs. the Mets. The Mets are 7-1 their L8 games played on Thursday, 4-0 their L4 games played as a home favorite, and 8-1 in Dickey’s L9 home starts. Take New York. Thank you.
