Prediction: Houston Texans -11 -110 Week 9 NFL point spread (November 6th 2011)

Prediction: The Cleveland Browns (3-4 SU, 1-4-2 ATS, 3-4 O/U) have overachieved on a nearly weekly basis this season, but they’ve still managed to lose three of their last four games including their 20-10 loss to San Francisco as a 9-point road underdog in Week 9. The Houston Texans (5-3 SU, 4-3-1 ATS, 2-6 O/U) have won two straight games, including their 24-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 while playing out as a Push as a 10-point home favorite. I’m not real fond of the Texans – and I think they’re a bunch of underachievers that has never lived up to their potential under head coach Gary Kubiak, but the fact of the matter is that Houston can score the ball consistently (25.8 ppg) while Cleveland struggles to get in the end zone on a regular basis (15.3 ppg). I’m not real fond of the double-digit point spread in this contest, but I like the Texans to simple outscore the Browns en route to the SU and ATS payday. Cleveland is 1-8-2 ATS in its L/11 games while Houston has gone 4-1-1 ATS in its last half-dozen games as a favorite. Play the Texans to cash in here and call it a wrap!
