The Utah Jazz are still playing for playoff positioning as they have not yet secured home court advantage in the first round, but we feel the fact that the Denver Nuggets are playing for their playoff lives is the greater motivation here.

The Nuggets had their biggest win of the year on Thursday on the road vs. the Golden State Warriors, giving them a one game lead over the Warriors for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West. We do not anticipate the Nuggets basically erasing that accomplishment by letting down here, especially since they now control their own destiny.

Granted, the home team is 4-0 straight up in all the meetings between these clubs this season, but the Nuggets should fight to the finish with so much at stake this time around. They have also been playing much better on the road lately, going 6-2 both straight up and against the spread in their last eight road contests.

Now it won’t be easy for Denver here, as Utah has the strongest home court in the NBA and the Jazz are on a 5-0 ATS run. Still, we feel that this spread is big enough should the Nuggets’ efforts come up a tad short at the end. Courtesy of LT Profits
