Week 7 NFL Pick: Seattle vs. Cleveland Over 40
The Seattle Seahawks (2-3 SU, 3-2 ATS) pulled off a huge upset the last time they took the field, beating the New York Giants 36-25 as a 10-point underdog in Week 5. The Cleveland Browns (2-3 SU, 1-3-1 ATS) have lost two consecutive games while failing to cash in each time out. Cleveland is coming off a 24-17 loss to Oakland as a 6.5-point road dog in Week 6. With these two teams putting up nearly identical offensive and defensive statistics this season, I believe the best pick for this matchup is to play the Over. These two teams combine to allow 47.8 points per game defensively and the Over is 13-3 in Seattle’s L/16 games. The Over has also gone 4-1 in Cleveland’s L/5 games as a favorite and 6-0 in Seattle’s last half-dozen games following an SU win. If the Seahawks put up 36 points against the Giants two weeks ago, they should be able to approach that figure in this contest as well.
Week 7 NFL Pick: Tennessee Titans -3
The Tennessee Titans (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS) had its three-game winning streak snapped in its 38-17 smackdown at the hands of Pittsburgh in Week 5 but will be well-rested following its Week 6 bye. The inconsistent Houston Texans (3-3 SU, 3-3 ATS) have lost two consecutive games and were basically overpowered in their 29-14 loss to Baltimore in Week 6 as a 7-point road underdog. Houston will visit its division rival in this Week 7 battle and I’m going to urge NFL gamblers to back the overachieving Titans in this contest, based mostly on the fact that they’re playing at home and have a solid veteran quarterback leading the way in Matt Hasselbeck. The Titans are 7-3 ATS in the L/10 meetings against Houston and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an SU or ATS loss. Houston hasn’t been able to step up and show it can with the AFC South despite the fact that the Indianapolis Colts are completely floundering without starting quarterback Peyton Manning. The underachieving Texans are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and 1-5 ATS in their L/6 road games overall. Back the Tennessee Titans to win and cash in pro football gamblers!
